I have finally posted the redesign of my Web site, motormouth.com. This is its seventh iteration since 1996. Prior to that I owned another Web site at www.americangirl.com, but anyone who has pre-teen girls can guess what happened to that domain name. Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think!

Another word baby says all the time is “yay!” And I would've given him an earful of it tonight if he hadn't already been asleep. See, yesterday I googled someone I went to MFA school with to see if he'd had anything new published, and I found a micro-fiction piece he wrote for Why Vandalism?, an online literary magazine.

“I could do that,” I thought. So I typed something up, refined it in the shower, and sent it off.

Tonight I got an e-mail from them:

Thanks for sending us 'Eight Fifty Six.' We thought it was a great piece and will gladly publish it in the July issue of Why Vandalism? (due out monday).
Thanks for contributing, we enjoyed reading it!

Yay! Yay yay yay!
